I’ve created the following comic series in partnership with IFF Fiocruz and they approach two heavy, intense themes, coronavirus and Violence against women.

Coronavirus – Before and After

These series show the impact of the coronavirus arrival, especially in the life of the kids that have been staying in IFF Fiocruz hospital. For kids that never depended on hospital technologies to remain alive, the coronavirus changed their lives, but that mostly meant purely staying home, doing their remote school work, and isolating themselves from people of different households. For the kids of IFF Fiocruz, though, this meant limited visits from family members and online support from volunteers, who previously used to come over for storytelling and playing sessions. But this shall too pass.

The second series shows how the coronavirus contamination happens.

The last series ends by talking about prevention methods and coping with the virus which is, unfortunately, here to stay.
